    ... and we are grateful for that as it makes getting around so much easier. We take one of the three underwater tunnels over to the island of Hong Kong and are soon on the other side of Victoria Harbour. It is a grey morning and threatening to rain so our view is obstructed with low hanging cloud.     ... as well as drinks and snacks. We were in the air for over 15 hours and the total gate-to-gate time was about 16 hours. It is a strange feeling when you find yourself thinking "Hey, only 5 hours to go - we're almost there!"

    This is my last regular post on this blog, although I plan to do a "Top Photos" post for anyone who wants to see all of my favorite shots in one place.

    We had a 2 1/2 hr drive from the hotel to Hong Kong and about a half hour was at the customs drive-through. Our driver was safe and followed the rules of the rode for the most part. Once we got closer to our destination many of the signs had both symbols for the airport and mouse ears, but the kids were oblivious.     ... westernised than the mainland with British culture dominating the evening activity. Throw into the mix local residents out on Christmas parties, which in itself is odd with it being warm it really doesn't feel like it should be Xmas but it is being fully embraced.
