Moved to the commercial shopping part of Beijing today, this is more the Beijing I imagined. Never seen so many shops, market's and people. Jodie was well and truly in her element! One night's stay here before we join the trip tomorrow and change hotels again.
Hiya, Fran here today from China! It's a long first one so bare with me! :0) We arrived into Shanghai from Jeju and although our flight was delayed we still made our connecting flight to Beijing, which after all the hassle of our flights being changed last minute, was a bit of a blessing! We hadn't read or researched anything on China at all (which …

This hotel is a great place to stay in Beijing, as it's location is great (only a 15 min walk to tianamen square, forbidden city and the heavenly gate) it's got great staff and is very clean with some decent sized rooms, beds and clean sheets!!!
Major drawbacks, are the price of the internet and the fact that it's a stone throw from the most sterile, boring place in Beijing - the shopping district!!!
