So, we had this rather long layover in transit in Guangzhou. We could have chosen just to sit around the airport for 12 hours but hey - there's a place to explore we've never been before just waiting for us. I wasn't sure whether they would let us through immigration because you normally have to have a visa already before you get to China but in Australia they gave us an application for a 24 hour visa.
