    It's not too early a start to the day which is great and as I get ready for the tour I find out that that I won't be the only non Chinese person on it which is different. I meet a guy called Gilles from Amsterdam and a lady called Aofie from Ireland. We're all very excited especially the other two as they've been stuck in the town for 2 days …

    ... it keeps ghosts away, as ghosts are thought to move around via shuffling and cannot lift their feet (or whatever appendages ghosts have) to step over and into peoples homes. I thought this was a very interesting "superstition" (if you can call it that), but I suppose it is just as valid, if not more, as any black cat or broken mirror.

    ... dragon, same as the year I was born. That means, according to my Chinese friends, that I’ll have bad luck unless I wear red underwear all year, which I don’t.     Climbed Sanqing and it while not a spectacular as other mountains, it was less crowded and staying at the guesthouse made it worth it to come out here.
