    ... last few hours of the trip I was able to lay down on a bench and get some sleep. It was definitely an experience worth having. Totally outside my normal experience. When I got to the train station at Huangshan I met a nice young man who was also climbing the mountain and staying at the same Hostel as I was. After some initial paranoia bred from the numerous con attempts I've been subject to in both Beijing and Shanghai I agreed to hike with him to the top. It was one of the best decisions ...

    ... it keeps ghosts away, as ghosts are thought to move around via shuffling and cannot lift their feet (or whatever appendages ghosts have) to step over and into peoples homes. I thought this was a very interesting "superstition" (if you can call it that), but I suppose it is just as valid, if not more, as any black cat or broken mirror.

    Climbed Sanqing and it while not a spectacular as other mountains, it was less crowded and staying at the guesthouse made it worth it to come out here.

    ... As I rounded one corner, I heard some faint shouting, and I couldn't quite make out their origin. To my right was the mountain; to my left, gray. I continued walking along the path and realized that it cut back up ahead, forming a U-shape.
