... her. They were buried with all sorts of equipment. Axes, looms, cooking utensils, sleds even. The sleds were on display, incredibly ornate carvings on them. Very clever and artistic these vikings. I don't know what conditions were like on the ships though. I counted 15 oar holes on each side which meant there had to be at least 30 men on board and thats not including the guy who held the rudder. There was not a whole lot of space "below deck" so I'm guessing it got a bit cozy and ...

... plane boarding, what to do? Supervisor says go down to boarding gate and wait for me. She phones Oslo to to confirm and get the luggage receipt numbers then joins us just as they are about to stop boarding. They have been holding for us but can't really do that these days. We get on, take the last two seats left, right at the back of the plane. Poor Cath is in meltdown mode but recovering! Uneventful trip to Abu Dahbi , no random missiles! Just a couple of hours wait ...

... arctic - it is a cool place and well worth a visit. At the museum we bought a super cute polar bear toy (christened Oslo of course) to add to baby's growing collection of arctic animals (the first was 'Sarkii' the husky toy we bought in Sarkiimukka, Lapland, on our last holiday).

Tomorrow morning we have an early start to get to the airport for our flight to Iceland. We are both really excited about the next ten days of ...
