    ... were told they were used to stop the snow drifts getting onto the roadway during winter. Of course I really knew that.

    We crossed the border into Montana. This State is known as Big Sky Country and you can see why. Open fields stretch before you and I don't know if it was my imagination or not but the sky seemed to be the dominant feature of the picture that was appearing before us. Magnificent.

    ... of us had dined there before. It was fun, you pick out your fresh meats, veggies, and noodles and put them in a couple bowls, then the chefs cook them in front of you. Lots of sauces to choose from. Great meal and all you could eat!

    ... spectacular mountains all around the lakeside setting. Beautiful yellow butterfly's everywhere, and gophers just standing watching you, and deer in people's gardens. Don't feed the deer they get unafraid and aggressive and will lash out without provocation. Thought perhaps one could cull a few, but no.     We started the trek to Sidney, Mt yesterday from our R ranch. Last night we spent in Rufus, OR, a small town on the Columbia river.
