Travel day - GNP to Missoula

... through the park was nice. It was almost entirely downhill (Logan Pass is at the Continental Divide, so I guess that makes sense). The western entrance to the park also has a lake, but it looks like they allow boats on this one. There were cabins lining part of the shore, too. The first two days of this trip (and the last day) are expected to involve the most driving - if we can survive this, we should be fine for the next month. ...

According to the information plaque it is more than 350 years old and is still growing. It was an incredible site to see and quite awe inspiring. Probably the most amazing thing about the tree is that is has survived right in the middle of some very large lumber operations.
