Not much to see in the Nevada desert. Drove up through Truckee. Stayed at the Thunderbird Motel which was a cool little dive. Ate at a ****** Mexican Restaurant and breakfast at Denny's.

This is the third leg of my trip and was fairly boring because of the terrain and the fog covered mountains most of the way. I did get to go through Reno and Carson City. The most exciting part of this leg was my encounter with a chapter of the Mercanaries of California. I first ran into them at a gas station when 20 or so of them pulled in, took every open pump, revved their engines until my ears hurt. I filled up and headed down the highway. ... that we saw the Patriot Aerobatic team fly around.They are L39 Albatross fighter planes and they were very cool. They have red, white and blue the American colours coming out of the planes as smoke.
We all had sore necks from looking up all the time and we took lots of pictures.
After that we were back in the minivan for a 4 hours drive to our next town of Elko. The road was quite straight and boring.
