... some yummy things as well. The dogs chased a white duck near the river walk.

We drove a couple more hours away from the city and stayed in probably the nicest roadside motel I've ever seen for only $45! I told Dave I wish we could compress the room and take it with us. The owner was super nice too. It was called the Cactus Inn.

Tomorrow we head for the hot springs (which will be awesome in this chilly weather) in Ojo Caliente!

There is nothing bigger than a prairie sky. At night it is freckled with the tiniest of stars. A crescent moon grin follows us as we move into the darkness of the Texas Panhandle sleep.

Well I am starting my journey to Spain, but not without a little phone issue to start off the trip! New phone upgrade last night due to a bad battery! All night to download! Off to airport at which time I find I have NO internet! Yikes!! Several phone calls to AT&T and viola I have internet!!! Woohoo!! I am off to Dallas first! Be back in touch ...

We went to a rodeo. A roping event at the State Fairgrounds. Big deal with Big prize money. Horses and cowboys everywhere. We watched a competitive roping event with $150K for the winner. Very strenuous and large amount of potential danger-all ages. Some looked as young as 10 years.
