So it wasn't as straightforward as Chris and I thought, to just get a bus from Alaminos to San Juan. Our first bus, air conditioned, but standing room only, took us over an hour, to Dagupan. Since we were standing, we were unable to eat our breakfast, that we had bought from a street vendor in Alaminos. IMPRESSIONS: PEOPLE – very friendly, very helpful, excellent English, BEACHES – well-deserved reputation for amazing beaches, variety from surfers-beaches to white sand, blue water, zero people NATURE – impressive volcanoes, amazing rice paddies, nice treks, very touristy at known places – sometimes feels more like Disney world than a national park, SURFING – great waves for all skill levels, DIVING – sites I dived was very average, sure there ...
