As a side trip from Baguio we caught a bus down to the western coast, just north of San Fernando, to the "surfing capital of northern Luzon." We stayed in another very noisy room, but it was cheap and spacious. We also found my favorite restaurant so far called Aplaya (on the road near Kahuna's surf resort). ... high spirits. The long black sand beach was such a beautiful view and as the sun set we just stopped to take a moment and just enjoy the view. We hit the sack pretty early that night as we were tired and had another early start the following day to move on again but it had been such a nice place to stay, so laid back and relaxed we didn't want to leave but knew we had more beaches to conquer before our time was up...
