... wads of cash were probably a pile of Dong with US 100 dollar notes wrapped around the outside. They lucked out with me. I got a free meal and a bit of entertainment, and they got diddly squat. Having no money on me at the time was definitely a big help.




On my way back to the hotel a guy with a baby strapped to the front of his scooter ran over me as I was crossing the street. I was okay, but he was a little bit upset. Baby was fine.

... Vietnam and entering Cambodia you can see a huge change in class, children wearing dirty scruffy clothes begging at every chance they get, people rammed on vehicles by hanging of the sides and sitting on the roof.

On the bus from Saigon to Cambodia we meet Ryan and Irish guy and Helenia a British girl who we shared a Tuk Tuk to the lake side of Phnom phen to find accommodation. We looked at several places which have lake views but the accommodation is made of of plywood ...

... saturated and then told us that there was no power in the hotel and the whole block and it wasn't likely to come on anytime soon - SWEET! With that we dumped our bags in the pitch black room and headed out for the cheeseyest pizza I have ever eaten and a nice cold litre of Tiger beer! From the restaurant we had a great veiw of a corner crossing and were trying to work out how the hell people were supposed to cross the road without ...

... have to tell you back in LA! You guys know Carlushka and Losha always have something up their sleeves!

Vietnam has been the MOST AMAZING trip! The people, food, culture and everything in between is wonderful and if you ever get a chance to go - TAKE IT!

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh at the ungodly hour of 4.10am and got to our hotel to find the rooms weren't ready as they were fully booked (we were warned this might happen).
So all 15 of us were using any available lounge, chair or seat to try and grab a few hours sleep in the hotel lobby until we could go grab brekkie at 7am.
It was going to be a long day!
At 8.30am we were picked up for our half day tour to the Cu Chi tunnels where the ...

Back at the hotel, we packed up our stuff and hauled our rolling suitcases to the lobby in a downpour. There was approximately 3" of rain covering the pathways which immediately soaked us and our bags (and everything in them, especially the parts that were transported under water).

... a bit hot and sweaty (you can imagine how much higher the heat and humidity is in Vietnam), so we went to the Caravelle Hotel to have a few lunchtime drinks at the rooftop bar.
