Today we headed towards the East Scottish coast for a change of scenery and a chance to meet up with Lorenzo in St Andrews. The land here is much flatter. Some lovely Norfolk-esque fishing villages. Isaac enjoyed running on the sand at a forest beach and then at St. Andrews. We took the scenic route back past the East Neuk fishing villages. Very picturesque and the sun even kept up with us! Wish it wasn't always accompanied by so much wind ...

... The coastal area around The Original White House is beautiful whatever the weather conditions, however we were grateful for the lovely sun and lovely house to stay in.  Our daily 5k walk took us south along the sea shore, then West up the hills, north along the ridge top before heading back down and east to the coast again.  Ian, one of the village fishmongers, also has an adjoining 100 year old smoke house, where the family has smoked salmon ...

It's another 'moving on' day. We pack up in reasonable weather and are on the road by nine. Our route today takes us across the edge of the Grampians which causes Ian to be a grumpy-ian. Who gave those cyclists permission to use this road? It's a B road - pretty steep and also narrow - and totally impossible to overtake two puffing cyclists peddling side by side. Ian slows down and we lose our momentum. Ian is not happy :-( We overtake when we get a clear view but on this ...

Today was a nice easy day as Gail and Gill went off to Edinburgh to look up more family history. I think they found what they wanted as both seemed happy upon their return to camp. Whilst they were gone I decided to walk into St Andrews which was 2 miles away from our camp site. I started off about 10am and after getting attacked by two local sea gulls at the Morison's store down the ...

... playing later in the day.

In the morning we all went shopping - so many fabulous golf shops to visit and we all managed to find something to take home. Met up with Bill and Jess for lunch at Bill's club "The New Club" which is only about 120 years old. The dining room looks out over the 18th fairway of "The Old Course". After lunch we managed to get our photos taken on the famous bridge on the 18th fairway before ...
