    ... warrior sculptures, very stunning and impressive. See photos. The walking approach to the archaeological site is an extensive garden of prickly pear and other cactus. We saw cactus wrens there. We left the site and found a very nice hotel in town and we were very happy to be there. Not colonial, but modern, roomy, comfortable and very reasonable.     After a joyous two wondrous days of resting at the couples resort in Ontario, we woke up early to begin the not so wondrous event of driving for 12 hours.

    The views while driving from Ontario through Quebec were SPECTACULAR!!! The leaves were in varying levels of changing. It was as if Bob Ross had an itch to paint his 'happy trees' but had only the autumn palettes for colors.

    Today was bittersweet as it was our last day with the Shifrins and our time in Maine was drawing to a close. Besides, we needed to start thinking about things like getting the kids to the Doctor so they could enrol in school, setting up our apartment and, in general, beginning the process of readying ourselves to get back into a routine and starting school and work!!!!
