Today was bittersweet as it was our last day with the Shifrins and our time in Maine was drawing to a close. Besides, we needed to start thinking about things like getting the kids to the Doctor so they could enrol in school, setting up our apartment and, in general, beginning the process of readying ourselves to get back into a routine and starting school and work!!!! Therefore, what better way to enjoy our final day then to pack up the car and head back down to Dummers ...

Tonight we played a favorite of Brett and Sara; Settlers of Catan, This is a risk/monopoly type of game where you accumulate property and resources in order to gain a target number of points. This game took longer but when we all went to bed the game tally was as follows: Tim 2, Brett 0, Sara 0, and Jess ...

... frosting. While the cake was cooling, we went down to join the rest of the crew at the beach and all had a quick swim and then returned home for a wonderful dinner of homemade pizza. Kids and grown-ups hung out and after the kids went to bed, we began our nightly ritual of playing board games. Tonight was Monopoly and it went down as one of the quickest games in history and before you knew it, Tim was victorious.
