We continue to make our way east, next stop the Upper Peninsula of the state of Michigan to the city of Marquette. The population was 21,355 at the 2010 census, making it the most populated city of the UP. Note: the entire UP only has a little over 311,000 residence. We decided to return to the motel . . . and Nick & Connie to home for a little rest, before heading out for dinner. We still had no water!

We headed out to dinner about 5:00 pm. The cuisine and restaurant of choice was a new ...

... side of the road and little zoom on them. They are fascinating to watch, but we had to get moving!!

Some 17 miles out and across the bay there is a pullout where you can see the two power plants in Marquette, the loading docks for the freighters, and the Superior Dome on NMU's campus, the largest wooden dome structure in the world!!

We got to our motel, The Brentwood, a Budget Host property. We don't stay in these very often, but brother ...
