This hotel is centrally located and offered a great place for us to stay for two weeks. Internet is the biggest challenge. If you need reliable internet service for communications, you will have problems.

I was finally in Cape Town! I couldn't hide my excitement for much longer I wanted to jump straight in and explore. This first step after claiming my baggage was to make my way to the hotel, fingers crossed it was as nice as on the website.

I was staying at Inn on the Square and when I arrived and checked in I could see it was a really …

... mountain passes, farmland, small charming towns and wine country. Our first stop after the safari was Oudtshoorn, an area know for it's ostrich farms. We decided to stay 2 nights so we could explore this area. Although we were tired of driving on the second day we did a full day loop that went through a quaint little village town, Prince Albert, via a gravel road mountain pass.

Up at the casual time of 4:30 am to sit in a car for several hours... But this time, it was worth it. We had great whites waiting for us in a place called gansbaai. A nice little costal town about 2.5 hours away from Cape Town. Yep, today is cage diving with great whites. Been waiting for this one. And it was worth the wait. After an intro session that was essentially put there with intentions to tell idiots not to put any part of their body out of the ...

... The coolest part of the tour though was when our guide randomly turned off the lights in the largest cave and started singing what seemed like a tribal song. All the obnoxious tourists finally stopped chattering and snapping photos and listened in. It felt like a spiritual experience. After the caves, Stan saw a sign for a waterfall and wanted to check it out. I drove down a long windy dirt road for miles and we finally came upon it, after paying a fee of course (!). It ...
