... local restaurant Riolet where we have eaten three times during our week here. It has been great that such good food is right on our doorstep. The weather could have been better but we have really enjoyed our week here in Lake Garda. The scenery is breathtaking and except for the number of German tourists, the towns, churches, food and culture have been wonderful to visit and experience. Thank you Lake Garda and Villa Borgo (Patio) for the great ...

At the end of Via Manzini a quick right turn and you're at Juliette's balcony. It was getting time for a drink and we headed to the nearby square which has ...

The boys and Geoff had pasta and I had pizza which was all good. For dinner we headed into Salo where there was supposed to be live music and a bit of a festival along ...

... back to the villa the boys and Geoff were in the pool. I joined them for a family swim before heading back to the villa for a rest before dinner. We headed out to dinner to the agritourismo that we booked earlier in the week. It was up the mountain from where we are staying and of course it was still raining, making the hairpin bends and the roads that much more difficult. Arriving safely, we ran for shelter and were seated in a beautiful dining room in an old converted farm house. ...

Signori e Signore. The judges (us), after extensive research, have arrived at their final decision and the winners of the top five villagi on Lago di Garda are now announced. Honourable mention goes to Toscalano on the west coast. We didn't see much of the villagio except for the cafe on the ferry stop where we had a spritz. The drink and the view warranted the special mention. In 5th spot is Salò, also on the west coast. It has a ...
