    Bodo to moi I rana

A travel blog entry by amandanicholls on Aug 07, 2014

So bit of a lie in today, up and out by 9am and off on a scenic route to moi I rana. Pete takes the 812 and we pass some Norwegian art in a small village and push on again through some dramatic scenery to the e6 and to the arctic circle centre. We crossed the arctic circle in Sweden last week and now we are crossing back through norway. Last week in Sweden there're was a sign marking the line and it was glorious sunshine. ... Didn’t last long because we were making too much noise so we al trekked down to the lake and kicked on for a while longer.

As standard the Oslo day started with a driving tour where we went to the sculpture park that had literally hundreds of sculptures, many pretty weird. Made for some good photos mimicking the poses of them. Following this we went to two museums, unheard of for me I know! The first was one about the voyages to the north and south poles and ...

    Oslo on our own

A travel blog entry by rerowand on Jul 27, 2013

... I had seafood soup for my starter, and lamb for my main course. Jean enjoyed her meal. The waiter was friendly and prompt. We decided not to have dessert at the restaurant, but to either get ice cream or a pastry on the way back to the hotel. I had some ice cream and Jean got a brownie. Back at the hotel, Jean went up to the pool for a swim and I caught up on email (thanks Jeff for those 20 joke emails). We watched a couple of movies while I wrote in this journal before hitting the ...
