Water water everywhere.....

Following on from there it is a short walk across to Akershus Slott or Castle, a medieval castle from around 1300 - Remodelled to Renaissance in ...

We have certainly some some epic rainstorms whilst we have been in Oslo over the last four days. Without wanting to sound harsh, this city seems to lack any particularly unique feel. It is very trendy and modern with a diverse population; it seems to be the city where English is spoken in one hundred different accents. Compared to the other northern cities we have been to, Oslo seems to lack the grandeur of Stockholm and the ...

... Our tour left approximately on time. The weather looked pretty good – high predicted in the low 60’s with just a 20% chance of showers – but we did take all of our rain gear along, just in case. The tour started with a short bus drive toward the center of the city, passing the Parliament buildings, and the Royal Palace. We then got out of the bus to tour the Vigeland Sculpture Garden, the largest in the world created by a single ...
