    Our berth was alongside the outer pontoon but about 8metres outside us was a rocky islet, so we knew that no other boat would raft against us as they would block the channel, so we were quite happy with the choice. Moreover, we later discovered that there was a free bus service to town so in our book, this was a much better choice to spend the night.

    We had a very leisurely start to allow the effects of the rain to disappear ie the decks could dry a little and in the sun and some cloud and windless conditions, we motored the 10 miles or so to Nord-Koster, only to find that this popular island was exactly that and thus far too crowded, as the boats were rafted 5 deep. Turning back on ourselves, we opted instead to find another anchorage and we chose one off an island called Långholmen, ...

    I arrived at Rygge Airport at about 4pm on 24 July 2013 and was met at the airport by Camilla and her folks. We drove straight back to Camilla's and sat out on the balcony overlooking the lake drinking tea and chatting. Before I knew it, it was dinner time and Camilla's mum had made potato bake and steaks for dinner with salad.     ... 86.  It is still grey but isn't raining and I am feeling a little better.  We find the church and suddenly someone comes to open the church and Karen get's to go inside.  There is a baptism today and one of the guests arrives in a Ostfold Bunda - Karen has hit pay dirt.  On the way back into town we drive past the Asak and Tiestedal churches one more time still not sure it is the church in the picture.  We are now on the shopping street in Halden ...
