    ... stumbled upon one of the oldest churches in Sweden, which they open to the public for 3 weeks every summer. During these public opening hours, different members of the congregation are rostered on to show people through.     ... Eve dinner party with family and friends. We had Turkey roast with vegetables which was beautiful, then also some desserts and chocolates and lots to drink! The karaoke started up and was great. At midnight, we all went outside where all the fireworks were going off, some quite close! The fireworks went for a while then went back inside for some more karaoke! The night ended about 3.30am but I retired at 2am!! Too much shopping to keep up! A good start to 2014 ...

    ... is so intensely green and beautiful, I was surprised to see the collection of grey rocks and ice when we got to the top of the mountain.
