Nach einem Nacht-Bagel mit Cream Cheese war die Euphorie so groß, dass wir uns entschlossen in der Nacht noch weiter Richtung Vancouver zu fahren. Heidy wollte das aber anscheinend nicht. Sie äußerte Ablehnung durch komische Geräusche während des Fahrens und so parkten wir sie 15 Min. nach Kamloops in einer Haltebucht und verbrachten dort die Nacht.

... entschlossen, dass wir ca. im februar wieder dorthin gehen um ski-ferien zu machen. wir haben uns bereits für occasion-snowvboards (resp. skis) umgesehen: für 200.-- kann man bereits etwas vernüftiges kaufen (mit bindung!).

Am Vortag vor unserem weiterflug fuhren wir zurück nach vancouver und übernachteten dort in einem hostal bei der hastings-street. das pendet zu unserer langstrasse....voller penner ...

... and before the sun disappeared completely Katie and I took Chip for a walk up into the hills, it was really interesting with a few scattered farms and smallholdings with superb houses, we watched the sun go down to end my visit to Kamloops.

Time to move on once again and this time to Calgary via a Greyhound bus ride through the Rockies. A nine hour but really superb trip through great mountain scenery....... more soon ..

It's been one week since the move to Kamloops. While pictures paint a better story of our journey, I can tell you that at days' end last Friday, the Rav had acquired 4727 kilometres since leaving Kitchener, Ontario. I have also become more accepting of the fact my apartment building is called "The Stetson Place," - Stetson being a form of country hat.
