To Layup
Haul out for winter storage is scheduled for Monday, October 29. Meander will be tucked inside a heated storage shed at Sassy Marina. A very nice window of opportunity opened this week with some nice weather with temperatures into the low 70's so we decided to take our last cruise for the season Wednesday the 24th. Our friends Micki and Dave aboard the "Micki D" invited us to join them and their boat club (New Wave Boat Club) for the Columbus Day/Canadian Thanksgiving Frostbite cruise to St. Clair. Midland MI to US/Canada border at Port Huron
After breakfast and coffee with Barbara and Marvin, we left for Port Huron, MI to cross over into Ontario Canada at Sarnia - between Lake Heron and Lake Eerie, and ultimately head towards Niagara Falls.
Stopped at Costco in London, Ontario to fill up on water then made our final drive St. Catharaine, SE of Toronto, where we would spend the night before going to the falls on Saturday.

Shakedown Cruise to Lexington
... at 1:30 PM, bought some diesel, and settled in at a dock near the showers, shore heads, and grass for Charlie.
After lunch aboard we walked the town and visited an old friend at the Irish Rose. We took some ice cream back to the boat for evening dessert. After our foil dinner cooked on the boat grill, we took an evening walk on the breakwall.

First Cruise: Algonac to Port Huron
... took about five hours dock to dock. We tied up at Bridge Harbour Marina about 4:30 PM. After arriving in Port Huron, Diane and Jeffrey came by to see us and Meander, and we toasted the previous owners Jim and Jane with the wine they put aboard for our celebration.
It was a great first cruise and we are looking forward to many more.
