    ... Kennet and Avon and has some mileage to cover. We left at 0845. It was cooler this morning but dry underfoot. The pound was very shallow and we bumped on the bottom a bit until we crossed under the M40 and went through Grants Lock. The lock cottage here is being restored and is looking promising.
