We both went for a longer walk later on, exploring Pelsall Common. There were lots of paths off the main track, but there were old workings and hillocks and hollows, which made the minor paths quite difficult. We found some apple trees and gathered a few, also some pears. Our route was a circuitous one leading back to the boat.
Today was quite warm by UK standards and Derek and I had a pleasant walk along the canal in the morning before joining the Grimer family for a very tasty Sunday roast lunch.
