We picked Hoi An off the map as a good midway point along the coast to Ho Chi Minh City. We took a bus from the hotel which routed us through a couple of tourist markets where we were encouraged to but lots of souvenirs. One thing about the touts here they do understand ‘no thanks’.

We've been taking it easy for the last couple of days as my stomach has been quite queasy and I've had to break into the medicine cabinet we've been carrying around, which takes up half of our luggage for 3 months of voyage.

We are in Hoi An now! It’s SO much better than Saigon, I could stay here the whole time. We are going to China Beach in a few minutes.
