... now. It was a wonderful trip, full of surprises, the sushi session I was so wanting to be part of and an ice cream competition on the night before our departure. It is amazing in what different light you can see a country and its people. I haven't been in Japan for more than 10 years and was impressed to see what a different view I gained on culture and and traditions. I definitely would love to come back..... Yours truly ...

We are now fluent in 4 languages, which are quite often delivered in the one sentance, eg. Guten Tag, Ciao, Alfreidesein, Bonjourno, we need to add French. Yikes!

Ciao, Arriverderci, Au revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, Dag, Guten nacht!

"We gotta go put our shoes outside for St. Nick," I told Kayley at the end of the night. Today was a really great day! We celebrated St Nicholas Day one day early. It was a surprise to me. When I came downstairs I was tired and walked over to see what my sister was doing on the computer. Little did I know, that the tree was full of presents!! We finally noticed.

... and it took over 2 hours to get through. Did you know Nestle of Nestle, Maggi of Maggi's and Schweppe of Schweppes were Swiss? I know!! My favourite part was the section about religion in the Middle Ages. There was a Bible from 1200, which was absolutely stunning with calligraphy and gold leaf. I can't imagine how many hours that Monk would have sat and pored over his work. Amazing. The other sections were fantastic as well - a section on furniture from the 1800s ...
