... I tried to get my surf skills down but the improvement is very little, Sahid instead had a blast with the great swell that was around. I think after months of not having touched the ocean or board, my smaller/new board, the cold weather and putting on a wet wetsuit is not working in my advantage. But i have to say, the waves so far on our trip were pretty good!

... out to dinner for as long as humanly possible and were able to dine at an authentic Basque restaurant. It was 8 o'clock, yet we got one of the first tables at Txotx, a traditional Basque cafe, recommended by our guide. By the time we left - closer to 10, the place was filling with locals. ... we had lunch. Crossed into France again. We had been paying motorway tolls all day in Spain, and now had to pay our share to France! Very trying and expensive at times. Noted the road signs are still in two languages- now French and Basque. Arrived at our camp for the night in the small town of Orhez. Needed to try our poor French again but we managed. ... from very young to quite old, they just ooze the culture of Paris.
The side walk cafés, where friends and family come together to drink and eat.
The parks and gardens, with green grass, park benches and stone fountains, full of young families and lovers, and all the apartment dwelling Parisiens out getting their fresh air for the day.

... very interesting. There were a number of windows where you could see into the actual chocolate factory workings- huge bowl so chocolate being mixed, slabs being made, flavoured coatings being added, weighing and packaging. The video was in English but there were very few people speaking so the instructional text was only in French. It was a very good video.
