Cruise to the small village of Durnstein where Richard III was once a prisoner. A short walk and back to the boat for a cruise through the Wachau valley. Very pretty with villages and the leaves turning yellow for Autumn. Arrived in Melk and a tour of the Benedictine monastery. Very cold today but ...

Another tour, this time of the City Center in Vienna and although most of the shops are closed, we still get a feel for this vibrant city. Still lots of touristy places open and get some good pictures. Stopped at one of their cafes and had to try one of the coffees we learned about yesterday. I called it the " Mother Theresa"' although it is actually the "Maria Teriasa"' which is milk coffee ...

... today. I give it 2 hours before the entire ship's passengers and crew are informed. Life on board is a VERY small community. Hey ho!

Tonight we have plans to jump ship, and walk to the nearest town where we have been advised to try a local taverna. Sounds like fun.
And tomorrow we have our last bike ride, a real corker if Leslie Entertainment Manager is to be believed. Boo hoo.
This has been a stunning experience, and I would so recommend ...

... they were so relaxed or disconcerting that there were so many of them around in the first place! After a stop off in Skopje, Macedonia we made our way to the favourite holiday destination of the Macedonians - Struga, which is based around a gorgeous lake. See photos. Over some spectacular mountains and into Albania. Straight away we noticed a stark difference between the two countries - it is obvious that Albania has had difficult past as there are tons of ...
