... bloody hell, that was steep! Lana got a bee in her glasses & had to get off her bike & push up that hill (that was her excuse anyway!) After that we had several more hills but nothing like the Ernstbrunn killer! Beautiful farmland with reaping well under way, the canola all looks to have been reaped and plenty of wheat being reaped, silos at some of the towns along the way. We stopped in Laa for an ice cream and a Gatorade, it ...

... point I had no chance to avoid it, my inner thigh was bleeding and sending pains down my leg with every stroke. I continued to ride for about 13 more km, when finally I couldn't endure the pain anymore, luckily we were in Seefeld, which was our destination. The hotel was small and very European, I thought it was beautiful. I took a shower and got dressed. We walked to this massive bell that stood at the top of a small trek up a hill. The bell ...

Seen as it has been a while since I updated and we've been to so many places in the mean time I will give a brief run down of what I have been up to... Right now we are in Vienna, which is beautiful but cold and rainy! Very chilly compared to the dress weather I have been used to in other countries! .....The last ten kilometers into Tulln, left the river’s edge and zigzagged on country lanes past wheat fields and wildflowers galore. I decided to pick some for our room since we were planning to stay two nights it the ‘romantic town’, of Tulln. Dave and Hiro patiently waited while Junko and I picked enough flowers. Painfully, I poked my shin with the sharp knife I was using to ...

... Ellen was finding it hard to relax with the prospect of a stressful journey to come. When we finally came to depart from each other I think if I had been offered a ticket to fly home I would have, but as sad as it was it wasn't as soul destroying as it had been in Nice, I think the length of time together being much shorter made it a little easier. Still, that said, the cycle out of Vienna was pretty lonely and it was back to the solo, midge infested camping. I must be mad.
