... village Obertaurn, they can take us but only in the beautiful campground on the lake. Here they have old French circus carriages that have been converted to "luxury glamping accommodation". Once again we get out of the traditional camping and into our true camping style!

The first time I heard about Zell am See, Austria was in the final episode of Band of Brothers. For those who haven't seen it, it's a WWII mini series about Easy company of the American 101st airborne, soldiers who fought in Europe from D'Day until Zell am See. The series was also the main reason for visiting Bertchesgarten and the Eagles nest. ... the boat terminal, we decided to walk to the cable car but it was closed. We had a very late lunch, sitting in the sun on large wood chairs, eating cheese dumpling soup was pleasant. Back to town for a wander, tried the cable car there but it was closed too! But we really enjoyed the charming town. ... the path was from the station, we caught a taxi, the driver was not impressed. Our room as usual is clean and neat. We are on the second floor with a balcony. The main road beside it as does the rail line, but it is quiet and I hope the trains do not run all night. We walked to a local hotel and had a good meal.
