    Friday 30th October

On the ship until 2.30 when we left by tender for the short service to Mykonos, one of Greece's most popular tourist islands. Here we wandered for an hour with Cindy & Mike before grabbing a well deserved beer in a cafe overlooking the famous windmills, formerly used to grind the island’s grain. ... of us decided to head back to the ship as the wind was almost intolerable, especially along the coastline as we walked back to the bus terminal. We could have had dinner at a Mykonos restaurant, but decided to return to the ship for wind and chill reasons, also I didn't want my health to deteriorate. So, here I am, pina colada in hand listening to some fabulous old school music, enjoying every second of this beautiful time in my life <3

At about 0630 when the flies got too much, we picked up a toasted ham and cheese for breakfast and then wandered back to the port to wait for another 2 hours on a marble bench. Finally, the doors to the ferry port station opened and were able to get into the cool away from the sun.

... They didn't attach the ramp to the dock before the crew picked up the boxes and the car launched itself on board. Can you imagine B.C. Ferries doing that. Five hours later with two stops (I had thought it was a direct ferry) we were in Mykonos. No taxis so we had to wait. No direct access to our hotel so we had to walk into the tiny narrow streets in search of our hotel at 11:30 at night. We did have help from a women on her way home who guided us ...
