... made finding a restroom difficult. The harbor consists of several deep inlets which the locals call creeks. This makes the harbor quite striking and provide a huge waterfront. We drove through the 3 villages, a set of medieval villages all run together. We then meandered through an area that was affected by a giant earthquake and was rebuilt in the Baroque style. We headed out of town to Achilleion Palace, the retreat for the Empress Elizabeth of Austria. We had learned about her life when we were in Vienna last year. She built this house in Corfu in late 19th century style and decorated it with Gods of Ancient Greece, primarily Achilles for which the palace is named. ... we vouched for camp grounds the entire time there, the best camp grounds we had come across the entire trip too which was an extra bonus.



We celebrated 20,000km on the road whilst in Montenegro, however we think Van-essa also knew, as we had to make two stops for servicing. One for the drive belt on the engine and another time for the headlights (unlit tunnels aren’t so fun without lights!). ...

Amongst the mayhem, the only one to give us grief was a flotilla yacht that none other than the Foltilla Cap’n himself parked close alongside.
