After Ipoh, we headed south again on the train for another few hours to get to Kuala Lumpur for a few days before flying out to Kuching (Borneo). After a good few weeks in pretty small towns, it was good to back in a major hub.

After riding the monorail from the main station through the slick looking city centre to nearly the last stop at our hotel, we decided we were probably staying in the less ...

I do miss them ...

Stopping at the ubiquitous McD's briefly for a coffee and onto Batu caves, a huge cavernous temple for Lord Mugaren. No, not one of our Lords but a Hindu god, related to Ganesh, full of saried women, loin clothed men, joss sticks and marauding monkeys up 250 steps. ...

After a few days staying in Chinatown we moved to a hotel in Bukit Bintang where we would be spending 2 days with our friends Nik and Louise who was meeting us for 2 days before they continued on to holiday in Bali. Whist with them we actually went up the Petronas towers, first to the sky bridge on the 42nd floor before going right to the top observation deck on the 86th floor to get a truly awesome view over Kuala Lumpur and a great view of the other tower right next to us. ...
