We had booked our boat tickets to Phi Phi so on our last night we were out in Railay and had said we wouldnt drink (bad memories of having a hangover on boat from time we went to Koh Tao!), but we ended up having a few then we met these irish girls and ended up staying out till 4am. Had to be up for 8 and i hadnt packed or anything so that morning was horrific - had to pack and then get the boat while trying not to be sick over the side. Im so sick of boats now its not funny, just the thought...

Since I have been in Phuket I have heard a lot about the island of Koh Phi Phi, I was informed that this was where the film ‘the beach’ was shot. So I decided that this I would go and see what all the fuss was about and if the island lived up to expectations.
I did not stay out late till the early hours of the morning because I had to be up early for the bus pick up. I am glad that I woke up in time and caught the bus to the ferry terminal where we got the speed boat to Phi...
The area of Phuket that I stayed in was Patong which close to the beach and the night life. The hotel I stayed in was the Yorkshire Inn Hotel, this is owned and operated by an English guy. I thoughly recommend this hotel. Paul the owner always looks after me, he took me under his wing and introduced me to the movers and shakers of Patong ( one such person was the Mayor of Patong). I have stayed there several times when I visited Phuket.
I was quite excited at being in Thailand...
I did not stay out to late this morning partying because I was going 'James Bond Island'. I am glad that I requested a wake up call otherwise I would have over slept. The bus came to pick me up and we went to the boat pier where we would catch the big boat. I was hoping that It would be a nice day but it was quite cloudy and windy.
This trip was totally different than the Koh Phi Phi trip, for a start we was taken on a big boat not the speed boat, therefore we went at a much mo...
Woke feeling quite relaxed, glad that I did not have any nightmares ! ! Had a good healthy breakfast and then made my way to the domestic airport to catch my flight to Phuket.
I was happy that the tour operator had not conned me, the ticket he gave me was valid and I checked in with no drama. Over the last couple of days I have had enough drama for a life time. I boarded the plane, I was not to impressed with the plane, it stank, obviously it had not been cleaned properly and ...
I really do enjoy chilling out on the Bangala road in Patong, the street where all the night life is located and a good a good spot to indulge in my favourite past time of people watching. Bangala road is not a world heritage site with monuments of national significance. Has no distinct architecture to talk about, no museums or restaurants to eat in. What makes this road stand out is the people that congregate here in the evenings. Bangala road is chameleon like, during the day it is very sed...

This was my second time in Phuket, I stayed here in September and I decided to come back. The are I stayed in, is called Patong.
Patong beach is about one and half kilo metres long, the sand is white and it is looked after. At night the beach cleared of all litter. The sea is nice, very inviting and the current is not so strong that you can go for a swim. It is very family orientated, there was lots of kids about. There is also a life guard on duty as well.
There is a lot o...
I have always wanted to learn how to scuba dive. Many moons ago while in Ibiza, Spain I paid to do a scuba diving course but unfortunately I had a really bad experience. Once I paid for the course, there was no classroom talk about diving, no going to the pool to practice breathing under water and to make sure that you was comfortable with having on the equipment.
I was taken with a group of people to the dive site, there was a safety talk on board and then we were suited up an...

... day in Railay, we made a beeline for the West beach and parked ourselves there. The water was amazing and there weren't too many hawkers trying to sell us stuff. Later that day, on the way back to our room, we arranged to go rock climbing the following morning. Railay is notorious for its climbing and there was even a competition going on while we were there. Tim had done some rock climbing many years ago in highschool and I had even had a ...
Railay, Thailand timquinn... we leave?" "We'll be there in a couple of hours. Hang in there." He said, sensing my desperation for escape. I spent the rest of the evening sitting in the back yard of Amanda's house where there was a large pond. There was nothing to do but smoke a little weed and listen to the frogs courting one another which I suppose is not the worst way to spend a few hours of your life. We sat in a tree house that was really nothing more then a ...
