    Okay, but nothing outstanding

This is your basic hotel with 2 beds and a bathroom and not much else. It was nice, but noisy at night if there were people in the hall. There is a mini-fridge and microwave in the room which is always a nice addition. Also, they have free laundry facilities, but the hours are only until 8pm and there is one washer and one dryer, so don't expect to actually get use of it unless you are lucky enough to snag it when it's empty. Overall, it was okay, but there's nothing to make it stand out over any other hotel.

This room was cheaper than the Hampton Inn and extremely nice. The bathroom is all tile and the bed is king and extremely comfortable.

    Best value in town.

    from

I and my family were in Jackson for 3 days, and two nights at the begining of June and needed a base from which to attend a convention and also see some business clients. We booked two rooms at the Red Lion based on the reviews here and we were not disappointed.

The rate was $129 a night, per room, which was abit more then some of the old Jackson motels and motor inns, but for the extra $30 per room the quality was excellent. The rooms were spotless, large, well appointed and exceptionally quiet. They showed no wear what so ever.

The kitchen in the lobby was nice, quaint and more then sufficient for a continental type breakfast, no real warm items, but it was fine by me and most everyone else who stayed there. Nice little internet room on the second floor.

The hotel was right on the main road, which is why I was shocked it was so sound proof, but it's very convienient. Drive to down town take all of two minutes, lots of shopping and stores in walking distance, with a few decent places to eat right across the street.

Summary, I wouldn't stay any where else in Jackson in this price range. You can't miss here.

Wyoming Inn - great rooms, wonderful extras

    from

Our family - 9 of us ranging in ages from 10 to 75- just returned from a week-long trip to various places in Wyoming and S. Dakota. The Wyoming Inn was our favorite lodging of all (for everyone). The rooms are immaculate and upscale with lots of wood accents. Showers are great. The lobby is warm and welcoming, we spent lots of time by the fireplace playing games and reading the books on the coffee tables. The warm cookies each night brought us out of our rooms to chat by the tv or the fire. The internet access gave the teenagers a chance to catch up with their friends. The complementary beverages in the lobby made it feel more like home than anywhere else we stayed. We were here for 2 nights and were sorry to leave. I would highly recommend the Wyoming Inn to anyone visiting Jackson.

    Very nice hotel

    from

Very nice hotel with large rooms/bathrooms. Very clean. Friendly staff. The only downside is that the hotel is located a little far away from downtown, - you need a car to go downtown. Would definitely stay there again.

Red Lion's Wyoming Inn is WONDERFUL

    from

We travel a LOT and stay some very nice places. Red Lion's Wyoming Inn is a cut above, trust me. The furnishings are all high quality and wonderful. Berber carpet, plaid blankets, paintings in the bathroom.......many little touches that make this place extra special. Their idea of a continental breakfast is special also. Someone served us coffee and hot sweet rolls (delicious!), and cleared our plates. There are beverages available all day and sometimes sweets as well. We are VERY impressed with this hotel, to say the least. Bravo to its owner and staff.

    Great Comfortable Hotel!

    from

After sleeping in some rough overpriced accomodations in Yellowstone Park (cabins/inns) we spent the last night at the Red Lion and we were ecstatic! We had a standard room and it was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The only drawback is that it is not within walking distance to the downtown area. It isn't far to drive but a little too far to walk. The Red Lion is similar to a nice Marriot but with more character. Plus we had a weekday rate of $99!

    Excellent hotel and staff

    from

Wonderful hotel and staff. The rooms are large with fireplace. The hotel serves large cont. breakfast along with drinks and treats throughout the day, all free of charge. The hotel also provides internet service and laundry facilities free of charge. The staff are helpful and pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to all travelers.

    Lovely hotel

    from

Went in off the street looking for 2 night's accommodation. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and determined to offer us a price we were happy with. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast bountiful and the staff so very friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend it or stay here again. Ask them for their best price..you wil be surprised!

L-O-V-E-D the Red Lion/Wyoming Inn in Jackson!

    from

We had the absolute best time in Jackson....and we were fortunate enough to stay at the Wyoming Inn (Red Lion). What a wonderful experience......from the full spread breakfast in the morning to the hot chocolate chip cookies at night. We even got to check our emails at the computer center! The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere so warm - we didn't want to go home! Yes---we'll stay there again! It was the ultimate "Wyoming" experience!

Oh a piece of heaven on Earth!

    from

What a terrific Inn! So charming, cozy and romantic! We had our dog with us and they made us feel so welcomed and comfy! The decor was so charming. The fireplace made us feel right at home! Was close to town yet a skip away so it wasnt noisey! Plenty of area to take leisurely walks! The lobby made you feel like you were walking into your home! The front desk service was superb! The hotel were extremely affordable and the amenities were outstanding! I can hardly wait to return next winter and this time we are going to stay a week and make the ride to Yellowstone cause the hotel is worth staying at!

    Overpriced average hotel

    from

This hotel is much more expenisve than it should be. There are other hotels within walking distance that are equally nice and $50-125 less expensive. The hotel also was very difficult to deal with in changing reservations and double charged us for the room.

    From horseback to mountain top

This morning we took it easy and decided to check out the scenery from horseback, since really we had seen the Tetons from every angle and were ready for a break from the constant sitting in the car (because sitting on a horse is so much better for your butt). We decided on a 2-hour ride at Spring Creek Ranch, where we got lucky and were the only …

Today it was off to drive part of the scenic 42-mile loop that takes you through the Grand Teton National Park. There wasn’t anywhere along the road where we didn’t have great views of the mountains and we stopped off frequently to take pictures. The scenery was forest or prairie, or both, in the foreground of the Tetons and it was …

Today was supposed to be a hiking day until we woke up and it was 40 degrees and rainy. We decided to go moose chasing and try to explore the popular wildlife sites. We spent most of our day staring into the woods where the moose should have been, but weren't. We didn't do much walking or physical activity which was not good for my "healthy vacation" goal but my mom was complaining that she was sore from the past two days of stairs so I guess since it was raining anyway it ...

... They provided another glimpse into the mysterious thermophile world. What actually enhanced the experience was the fact it was super windy – 40-50 mph gusts! It made steam vents and geysers stretch out over the alien landscape like dragon tails. As you can see in the pictures the Fountain area is pretty flat and large making for a dramatic scene. It is kind of bleak with the dead, semi-petrified trees stuck in wet desert. Still, the ...

We had lunch from a nice café in the main complex and ate outside in the sun while we watched Zach have a ball on the playground with another boy and people setting up a stage for a music festival that night.

We left around 3pm and drove to the Lizard Creek campground on the top end of Jackson Lake so we would be closer to Yellowstone for the drive the next ...
