    ... a cross between the old women who lived in a shoe and the highwayman - quite weird but it made you stop and have a look!! Then headed to the coast to Bournemouth to stretch our legs. There were people everywhere and even though it was only 23 degrees (felt like 18) lots of people sunbathing and swimming???? So many people after our quiet countryside. ...

    ... taking credit from the British Navy point of view. It was all fantastic but nearly seven hours of history and my brain was in overload. Still I am glad to have seen it all, very glad.
    Back to the hotel by 5.45 for a rest before a Pimms and dry in the bar and dinner in the hotel. Derek still not 100% so not worth going into town. Too tired anyway. Dinner was very good, better than it sounded, salmon on linguine with peas. Bed by 10pm. ...

    I have really enjoyed the feel of being accepted into a home and not just confined to a room on a ship. Another fellow cruiser is joining us tomorrow for a BBQ and the night. Debbie has changed the meaning of bringing home vacation souvenirs. I look forward to tomorrow and will update soon with more pictures and adventure. Thanks for the comments everyone, and I will try to keep up and post back as much as possible now that internet isn't 50 cents a minute ...

    Back to Portsmouth via back roads that Alan knows from riding his bike all over the local countryside to the Churchillian Pub on POrtsdown, high on a hill overlooking Portsmouth/Southsea.
    Nice evening meal of Lambs fry and bacon and a couple of pints and home by 7.30pm, I think I'll sleep tonight after all that walking!!
