Would I go back - yes; should you go - yes.
The touristy bits are on the whole, very safe, but we were advised to you walk / drive in the under-privileged areas of the towns after dark.
We had a straightforward flight and probably managed about 4 hours sleep during the eight and a half hour flight. The flight back from Las Vegas was two and a half hours shorter than the flight out to San Francisco which was a pleasant relief as was the lack of engine fires and emergency evacuations. Experience is a great help and we soon found the Hopper Bus back to the Hotel and arrived there at about 4 pm UK time (8 am US West Coast ...
... So everyone in the part of the south bound motorway that has been closed for five hours now are still there. There is nowhere for them to get off the motorway till it reopens. And all the south bound traffic has been diverted to bypass the closed bit, which means we can't turn off the junction road, and so the backup. Today we headed off to visit Windsor Castle. It was originally built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror. Queen Mary's Doll's House which was built in the early 1920s and completed in 1924 was absolutely amazing...a must see. Sadly we couldn't take photos inside the castle. Wow! What a whirlwind start to our working London adventure. After arriving from France with little money we hit the ground running preparing everything and anything that was needed so we could start work as soon as possible.
