It was really sad leaving Israel. The flight back to Heathrow was about 4 hours by Jumbo then we bussed it back to Cambridge an hour late after I mixed up the bus tickets. We reached the flat in Cambridge around 1 am exhillerated but exhausted. What a brilliant two weeks!

We arrive at Stansted at about 8pm and proceed to have a, probably, day old burger somewhere in the airport. Yum. Turns out that all the shops, in the departure lounge and outside, close at about 9pm so we have to sit around for 4 hours before our flight boards with nada to do.
Finally we get on the flight with a load of other backpacker types and head to Malaysia!

And the grounds at her college, Trinity College, are just amazing.
The old town where the college is located is full of old world beauty and charm.

... br>From Cambridge we decided to go and pay Helen's Aunt a visit, simply on the basis she has pet Chickens and a couple of Dogs I adore. On the way, we stopped off for lunch at Mildenhall and Lakenheath, two small towns that are fairly boring...except they are pretty much a part of the USA. Most of the cars are American, most of the population are, and the huge Jets ...
Cambridge, England, United Kingdom darrenstravels... Hard as I try, traveling light is always a challenge. Be prepared for anything is more my motto. A few observations: The French surprised me, twice, by returning money that they could have easily kept. Once I dropped a 5 euro bill as I was shopping in an open-air market, and a young man came running after me to return it. The second time was just a little while later when I gave a 50 euro bill to a young woman selling necklaces for a 10 ...
Sandringham Estate, Norfolk, England, United Kingdom lindahaacker... contains these natural hot springs that were used by ancient Romans then forgotten and buried for literally thousands of years. Eventually the baths were rediscovered and enjoyed by Victorian Londoners starting in the late 1800's. They're now unusable because they've been contaminated by pigeons, but you can still see all the Roman ...
