... to come and have Breakfast and peruse my brochures..

The breakfast was great... But..
Whistler is very like many of the European ski resorts I have been to...
It is a sponge for tourist dollars. you can do heaps of great stuff but at heavy cost..
To my delight even walking in the mountains was $$$
You need a lift pass to get to the good trails..
You can go fly ...

... Whistler that afternoon but sadly I only caught the last 30seconds as they finished singing ‘Feel Good Inc.’

We broke our return journey up by having a Chinese at a restaurant on Granville St before hot footing it back to Whistler arriving home at 2345, with the car.
Jenny has to be up the following morning for her festival job, a long day handing out potato chips whilst I had to be in the village for 0845 to pick up three more ...

... snow guilt! Every day I am not working I feel I MUST go skiing and if I do not I get very strong feelings of guilt! It is a problem I am willing to live with but after a busy week at work followed by four busy days skiing I am ready for a day of rest!

Such a different life from London – I have swapped rain for snow. I have swapped my suit and high heels for ski pants, a ski jacket and hiking boots! I have swapped the tube for a gondola (cable car). I have swapped an office for a mountain (or two to be precise). I have swapped a lunchtime stoll for a lunchtime ski. ... for a 1.5hr hike up the mountain near the hostel. It was amazing! So icey on the way up but by the time we came down the ice had melted so was a lot easier and I didn't stack it - THANK GOD! But came close about..mmmm... Maybe 40,000 times! Slightly dramatic but probably closer than not. Lots of fun and just amazing views! And another big drunken Sunday night HI Hostel pub crawl.. Insane fun! And yes I'm still stealing hats from people ...
