    ... when we get back!

    The plan for today is to head to Anne's sister's house in Rockville, Maryland. She was kind enough to offer to put us up for the night, and even promised purloo - one of Dave's favorite meals. All with a free ride to the train station tomorrow. Can't beat that level of service!

    Wow - things are getting real now. Departure time 4:30am tomorrow to drive to Anne's sister's house in the Washington DC area. We won't be home again until June 14... that's 3 1/2 weeks on the road!

    Of course, packing for an excursion that covers domestic and international destinations is a bit of a challenge. We expect it to be hot in New York, but cold ...

    The start of our trip.

    Departure from Huntsville toward Chicago. Got an all day lay over in Chicago because there is only one flght to Chicago from Huntsville.
    All went well other than the American Airlines agent had to physically complete the baggage connection between Paris and Malta. This meant that he had to hand write the ultimate destination. I don' think he has ever heard of Malta.

    ... other team. With older kids and their own resident Sheldon they pretty much wiped the floor with us, but at least the Aussies got some laughs. Then we finally had a chance to launch our rockets - mine was rocket 13, titled Aussie 1, and unlike the Apollo it was not a successful failure. The rocket went really high but the parachute was stuffed too far into the rocket & was toasted on liftoff. So my poor crew ...
