Houston, we're not Kennedy Space Center

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

Our main reason for being in Houston was to visit the Johnson Space Center (JSC). We arrived at 10am and got a spot right by the entrance, because there were not many people there. We immediately jumped on the site tour. First stop was the actual ground control center used for the 60s to 80s rocket launches. The current ground control center is one floor down. Second stop on the tour was a building where they are developing vehicles and ...

The waitress asked if we wanted to have take home bags, I told her we had become vegetarians who never want to sweat out meat again. Next ...

... and get some exercise in, then go ten-pin bowling. One of the things that's high on our list here is making sure we get the boys out of the apartment regularly to wear off their energy - otherwise we have kids bouncing off walls and parents feeling like exploding!
Mase started the ball rolling - literally - with two strikes on his first two turns. The rest of us thought we were in for a thrashing...but not so...in the end I ...

... which are much more comfortable places to wait than the regular waiting areas. On this final leg of our trip to Lima we are on a Boeing 767 and the business section has lie-flat seats (see photo below). So now that we've had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks, I'm going to lie this seat down, put in my earplugs and go to sleep. Talk to ya ...
