... thinking, it is an experience to witness the streets of Chicago first hand. It just makes you realise that us Australians have a good life. The systems are totally different, but ours are better. You shouldn't allow people to scrimp and save and beg for a dollar for their next meal. All that said, we gave the guy a dollar and moved on. Not much we can do about it. ... the Rocky Mountains approach, the turbulence has picked up and the seat belt signs have been illuminated. The interactive 3D map has indicated that Long Peak is to the north standing 4,437 metres high. If only it wasn't dark, we'd have a pretty good view of it. The Colorado River is now meandering its way from top to bottom of the map while the orange coloured glow below us confirms we are now flying over the city of Grand Junction as our flight approaches the state ...
... fan of the deep pan pizza though. The base had a pastry like texture and tasted like a pie. They were also insanely filling, I could only manage two slices without the crusts. They had a wall of fame on the wall by the toilets where celebrity's had signed a picture for Gino's with a thank you message.
Next it was time to head to the airport where we are flying to the Big Apple (New York) to stay with Rob's other aunt and uncle.
Set our alarm for 8 but struggled waking up so changed it to 8:30, not much sleep after a late night the night before. Once we got ready we went down for breakfast and then for our stuff ready and went exploring. First off we went to The Empire State Building, and got passes to both the 86 and 102 floor.
