I was in early due to Tammy having to drive back to PA and I didn't want to hang at our friends house. Checking out when I arrived was an CIAA Basketball Tournament. Westin front of house staff could not have been more polite. Bellman after realizing that I was checking in and being dropped off came out to help me. Front of house staff put my stuff in storage, they got me on the internet and now I am enjoying the golf channel and sipping tea.

We headed to the HUGE shopping mall just down the road from the track for lunch and a walk! I managed to buy a pair of cowboy boots here (yah!) and soak up some of the sights and sounds of being so close to the ...

... reached the visitor centre, through green and very pretty countryside and a bunch of small towns. We took the distillery tour and the first stop was one of the barrel houses containing some 6000 barrels of whiskey slowly aging. We were allowed to poke our heads in the door for a sniff, and oh my gosh it was incredible.

We walked around the plant and learnt a heap of history and how JD is crafted. ...

I hope that by now, most of you have arrived home safely from your Feast travels, and if not, that you will all be back by Sabbath! It was a wonderful Feast for our family, and I hope you enjoyed reading of our experiences and seeing some of the ...

Its time for another great adventure and I am all packed and ready to go. My friend (Marie) and I are headed to 3 great countries: France, Italy, and Spain and are excited for it all to start! Flights leave tonight.....tomorrow = ...

... sheer size of the houses! Blocks and blocks of beautiful properties filled the street but each one also had its own sense of privacy as there are so many trees in Charlotte separating each one, and no fences! It is absolutely magnificent, and not even 15 minutes outside of Charlotte city centre so from a commute perspective must be a dream. We could definitely see why everyone we came across seemed so very happy. North Carolina, you are gorgeous!
