Why, you may well be asking, does a blog about our "Indo China Experience" start in the chocolate box village of Stoke Gabriel in Devon's bucolic South Hams? Well, it was whilst on a long weekend in Devon in May 2009 that we decided beyond all doubt that I absolutely had to be brave and ask my boss for some extended leave in order to work as volunteers in Cambodia. ... is not really a speed demon, but the slower pace suits us fine as we are in no hurry... it also conserves fuel which is important considering the distance we will be covering over the next few months. So we don't really go faster than 50 mile/hr (80km/h for the aussies at home) and we avoid the motorways as there generally is ...

OMG only 3 more days to go before we are off wheely bagging ( Geriatric backpacking)<br><br>we have now just about settled in the new house and are now off again.<br><br>Looking forward to travelling and hoping that you all will follow us and keep in touch...those of you who have been to the same locations feel free to tell us some good places to go !<br><br>write again when we have gone somewhere

Well here we are at a very nice site, all singing and dancing. Well a bit behind with the blog due to no connection so here is a quick update.<br>We booked into Middlewick farm for a few days before going to Dad's and Mo's for a few days whilst "No Fixed Abode" was away being fitted with a tow bar.<br>The farm site was very quiet and relaxing, full of sweet smells of dung and pig poop!!!!<br>Truck dog Poppy thought it was great fun chasing the chickens!!<br>Hope you like the vid and pics.<br>

... the ocean for dinner.<br>It was an easy choice considering our location, fish &amp; chips!!<br><br>Today Friday has dawned another beautiful day for our drive across Dartmoor to Bideford where Lona grew up to catch up with her brother and numerous cousins etc. We are told it is Regatta Weekend so the joint should be jumping.

... 2 of the group were caught but only because of me, not because of the security guards.<br> Another of the boys who managed to get away then entered the club the following night and had the cheek to ask me how my boys were as i passed him, sat at a table with his friends. Security have told me that they do not have cctv on site so apart from the 2 that were arrested finally, the others have got away ...

... the departure time of our coach wrong and we left the house a little bit late. Shirls digged out her organisation skills and so we found out that the coach was going to stop near Sowton Industrial Estate as well as the busstation. We decided to go there as the journey wouldnt be as long and the departure time would be later. We waited and waited but no coach showed up. After phoning Stage Coach again we found out the coach was delayed (!) and that we had to wait ...
