Awesome Niagara
... as we watched the landscape changing from the Ice Age. We went through 10,000 years in about 15 minutes, with snow, rain (we were given rain ponchos), a violent storm and back to present day. Rails were provided as you needed to hold on to keep your balance as it was quite a tilt. It was amazing.

About 1/2 hours away is the town of Lockport, NY. Lockport is the home to the Lockport Locks on the Erie Canal. Enjoy the 2 hour ride on the Erie Canal in a canal boat. Your boat pilot provides great historical information about the Erie Canal and the surrounding area. Recommend that you make reservations, as there are few seats left if you just show up at tour time.

Overnight with a view
I must admit I didn't spend much time in Buffalo, as it was just a place where we spent the night during our weekend at the Niagara Falls. The Hotel was great anyway: probably one of the best beds I've ever slept in! It's not in the town centre (closer to Lake Erie) but from the windows, I got a great view of the town. Great value for your money!

Giggles in the mist
... giggling the whole time! Yes you get wet, which is more to do with the fact that the draft and breeze from the force of the falling water blows the poncho up and in everywhich way excpet to cover you. But considering it now feels like 30 degrees outside I don't mind getting wet. (I soon dry of afterwards anyhow.)

... that there is no way around it. We know that to change our (my) ticket(s) is going to be very costly if I am able to, but will probably have to be done. At this stage we will only change mine as Kathy is on her American passport and is not affected.
