    ... loved everything they have seen so far.

    Tom, being a percussionist, loves his music and doesn’t want to miss seeing places like Memphis and Nashville in Tennessee. We have seen these venues and thoroughly enjoyed them and their history the last time we were here.

    We would love to be able to see everything once more but there are places we want to see that will be new to us.

    ... of thought they'd be huge, so I must admit I was a bit disappointed.

    We asked about taking a behind the falls tour, but there was a 2 hour wait, so needless to say, that was no option. I
    t was so darned hot (31C) we needed rehydrating, and managed to find a nice area with umbrellas for shade, so we had a nice drink and watched the crowds.

    I was a bit too slow getting my camera out, as a lady Mountie ...

    ... decided that we'd walk down to the falls now and come back for food and everything else later. We soon discovered accessing the falls themselves was no easy matter. We had to walk for about 20 minutes to get on the 'viewing' level. There was was no way to access our hotel up the steep slope except for some little car on rails that you had to pay $3.50 to use!     Niagara Falls, population 83,000; a funny town. There is a bewildering array of ways to get there, to which I'll return, but the Go Transit bus will drop you at the junction of highway 420 and Stanley street, which has two closed information centres-presumably privately owned, giving mostly information on how they can earn commission selling you falls 'experiences'-a shabby motel and row of shops under the banner 'town centre', and from there is the easiest walk.
