    Good hotel

Located in Sliema with easy access to Valletta and the rest of the island. Great harbour-side esplanade to walk along that goes for miles. Large, bright rooms with coffee making facilities. Very friendly, helpful staff.

    Good holiday at the waterfront

Just returned from 10 days at the Waterfront and would thoroughly recommend it. Clean room, good food and obliging staff.

    Excellent holiday

    from

Just returned from an excellent fortnight at the Waterfront. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Stayed in corner room on 7th floor - brilliant.

    Wonderful hotel

Excellent hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. All meals of a high standard and a varied menu.

    A great hotel

    from

We have just returned from the Waterfront hotel and we agree fully with all the reviews that this hotel is the best. As it becomes more popular it will become harder to book. We were told that the hotel is fully booked till well into November and at least 35% of customers are returners. The food was very good always hot and a good variety.

We took a wheelchair and found no problems in the hotel, the rooms are very spacious, with wide doors and ramps to all areas including the roof top pool. When outside the hotel we found it easier to cross over the main road to the promenade as some of the kerbs were uneven but not impossible to cross on the hotel side. The locals were very helpful, we even took the wheelchair on a local bus to Valletta.

We hope to return in the near future.

    Very Pleasant!

We stayed in the Waterfront Hotel in July this year. It is an excellent hotel with good facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone.

Mt wife & I have stayed at the Waterfront Hotel 3 times in the last 3 years.

    from

It is without doubt our favourite hotel on the island first class in every respect. We take our annual main holiday in Malta, our next visit this year will be our 17th, and ou 4th stay at the Waterfront Hotel. It is excellent in every respect Comfort, Decor, Clealiness, excellent food & in a very good position. Above all though the staff are excellent.

    Fantastic Modern Hotel

    from

We stayed at The Waterfront Hotel during the peak August season of 2003. It was brilliant. We received an extremely warm welcome from the porter and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Our half board meals were outstandingly good - better than your average self service stuff! The view across the creek to valetta from the front of the hotel (esp. the restaurant windows) is quite lovely. The roof top pool was lovely - though is a lot smaller than the clever photography in the brochure/website suggests! This hotel had a noticable lack of screaming kids and I would say is ideally suited to couples. The air-conditioning in reception and in our room provided a real haven from the occasionally unbearable outside heat. A first class hotel.

Almost qualifies for ***** (5 star)

    from

Very pleasant stay. Staff always ready to help: food excellent and ample Bar open all night with good service and even better prices. I settled bill at the end of a forthnights' stay and it did not bankrupt me. Rooms ample and service excellent. I will go back if they'll have me. We had two grand little ones who behaved? but we had no complaints!

    Wonderful, but.......

    from

The Waterfront has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The decor is stylish and service is excellent. The food in the restaurant was good and well-presented. We had a corner room on the second floor, giving extra space and a lovely view of the harbour. The one drawback was that being low down meant that we were subject to quite a lot of traffic noise most of the time. Overall a lovely hotel which we would be happy to visit again, making sure that we requested a high floor/ quiet room!

    Good hotel

    from

Watterfront Hotel can be recommended! Nice rooms, good breakfast, situated very good near Sliema Ferry and bus stops.

We regret that so many restaurants in Sliema are on the wrong sida of the road. More restaurants are wanted on the seaside of the Strand etc.

It's not nice to sit in the traffic. We went to St Julians for our dinners!

    Better see Valletta!

I caught the bus (public transport) into Valletta this morning. Thought I'd better pay the city a visit! I headed straight for St John's Co-Cathedral because I was told it was worth seeing. The church still belongs to the Knights of Malta (Knights of St John - Hospitallers). The very plain fašade did not prepare me for the over-the-top baroque …

    Island of Gozo

Nowhere near as windy today but the swell in the harbour reminded me to take my sea sick pill. As it turned out, the ferry crossing from Malta to Gozo was very smooth. The ferry terminal is at the far end of Malta and the crossing took 25 minutes.

The tour I took of Gozo was not as fast paced as yesterday's tour; with more free time to …

    A reason to visit Malta

I used the hop on / hop off bus today, taking the South (Red) Tour. My feeling yesterday that this method of transport for touring Malta and seeing the sights would be the best way to go was realised. I would only do Malta this way in future, particularly knowing which sights I wanted to see. The commentary provided by the audio guide was very good …

... afterwards but thought we get stuck in rush hour traffic so headed back to the hotel, a short but good trip.
Me and Jill went for a scouting mission for a restaurant and decided on Munchies, an Italian right on the beach. Don't let the name fool you, this is no beach snack bar, the food was amazing surpassed only by the portion size. My mussels were a fantastic, the broth was a vino based, garlicy, chilli delight. My main was ...

... beach our destination for a few hours. The water is still way cold for this little black duck but M-L goes in for a dip, a very short one. She is hell bent on browning (weathering) her exposed bits. We wander back around two o'clock and meet up with Crew Vella for lunch and a chin wag about all our activities. Decide that we need to rest up as a night out has been planned by Fred and his partner David. Nana and Pa naps all round in the "penthouse" aircon a blazing as very ...
