This suited us fine for an overnight stop well on the way to Rocky Mountain NP. It was out of season so quiet. You have to go into town for breakfast - we went a little farther on to Sharkeys which was outstanding

Very friendly staff and it was clean enough - but the building and the rooms are truly vintage. If you're into old stuff and don't mind dated interiors you'll do just fine here. I was shocked to discover they had wifi in the building. We had a studio with a pull-down bed, our chief complaint was actually the pillows that were totally flat so we both woke up with neck aches. All in all it is close to the lifts and reasonably priced off-season.

... seem much easier after 2 weeks in India. We couldn't be more excited about returning to Europe. And returning to the Balkans and Greece. We nicknamed the trip the "Alexander the Great Trip" but since he didn't really go all the places we are headed, I went with the much less exciting and cheesy Balkan Dreams. Hopefully the writing gets more creative as we go. We are sad to leave our mutt, but once again we have an amazing woman here taking care of him. Life is ...

... Coming down was MUCH better than going up but I'm not sure why. This was one of the coolest things we've ever done. The views were indescribable. We saw an elk, several deer, lots of goats, what I think were groundhogs, and very tame chipmunks.
We came down from the mountain around dark and had supper at Tommy Knocker brew pub and drove home. I'm almost too tired to climb in the bed but I wanted to get all of this down before I forgot something. Life is great!

Tegz, Ci and I had gone inside at about 10pm to dry off, when we spotted a car coming up our long drive; it was a visit from our friendly local sheriff investigating the bear visit. He even posed for a p**************ell!

Time for bed, but I still have problems sleeping here; every slamming door and creak is evidence of a repeat bear ...
