... one but they are offered all over the world so I may do it elsewhere. In keeping with my new MO I am not making any plans about when/where to take the course yet - I will play that by ear. And if I find some work here school will have to wait a bit longer.
So I'm starting a new page and we'll see where it all takes me. I've had an amazing and rewarding journey so far and I don't expect that to change.
... doing some catching up on national news events and napping. Later in the evening KM and JG stopped by the hotel bar for a catch up session. It was great to hear from two people I hadn't seen in a long time, and since everyone seems to be in a transition stage right now there's always a lot to say. I also put in a little plug for SASS with JG who is a sick skier and better get himself down to Argentina next summer! All in all ...

I missed a day (oh no...), but its ok because our trip has been extended a bit so there will be more posts to make up for it!
Day 4 was of course more of the same. Driving, driving, driving. This was only interrupted by brief stops for gas and a visit to pizza hut. LCB and Mshizz are likely to be proud of me for stopping at Za Hut, because they know its not generally my favorite place to get a slice. But...when you're road trippin' in the middle of ...
... and music and I thought I ought to take advantage of this cultural offering...and I'm glad I did. The opera was Tales of Hoffman (I'd never heard of it) and the production was quite enjoyable. The costumes were fabulous! This photo appeared in a review in the Denver Post and described Olympia's robot costume as weighing 75 pounds! Her performance was incredible.

... and I won't be left behind. Yes, Honduras is off the beaten path, or any path for that matter, and currently doesn't have an internationally recognized government but these are details, minor details. The de-facto president has promised a chicken in every pot and a rooster in every doorway, something our government hasn't done ...

... Pete's and the rest of the time sat in the park, me reading, chris knitting. In the afternoon we set out for Boulder, arriving only to discover that a hose leading to our coolant system had burst and that there wasn't any coolant left in the car. As we stood outside reading our 99 chevy malibu manual a dog came trotting over to us, no leash, no human companion. Chris gave the dog a stern "NO!" and the dog turned around, tail between its legs and ...
Boulder, Colorado, United States travelchiz... Mountains at all. Always next time I guess. Luckily, our weather for the rest of the trip held out well! Western Texas is a landscape of monotony and on the flat horizon we could make out the craggy peaks of Big Bend National Park from a great distance. It was stunning to see our field of vision being filled slowly with long lines of high mountains - breaking out of the surrounding geography like an iceberg peeking above the ...
Boulder, Colorado, United States alex_merwin... continued on my way, and many hours later I crossed into Mountain Time, and sometime after that I crossed into beautiful Colorado. I think I was more elated to be out of Kansas rather than my destination state! But truly, I can say, it was a beautiful state, and now I really have seen "amber waves of grain", and I am proud for having done it, and I have no need to go back for a while! Once I got into Colorado I still had another almost 200 miles, and I thought ...
