... mission one night, looking to see some, no success again.. We stayed at a caravan park, we were 12 people and worked hard (at least most of the time, some of us..), longer hours than in metro area, more sales – I did 18 services which was the second best result of the week, made $1300! – and obviously had heaps of fun! It was a great team, we all got along really well and grew together to a little family.

Back in ...
Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia inkaluhrs... the old gunpowder building to visit.

The views are beautiful, looking over both the surrounding farmland and then over Beechworth city as the gorge snakes through the landscape. Being spring, the wildflowers are out and I cajoled Erin to take photos of quite a few of them as I marvelled and wondered what their names were. We stopped often to scramble over the granite boulders and pause to take it all in. I loved how the largest ...
Milawa, Victoria, Australia cheli... ride so I enjoyed careering down the slopes and tried to break as little as possible (I'm such a nervous rider, I try to push my boundaries!) If I didn't feel so far behind everyone I would have stopped anyway as the park was so pretty. The ride organiser, Chris was kind enough to match my pace and he told me they'd organised this ride for a few years now and the weather had always been kind. After a chilly start to the morning it was definitely warming up, and we met ...
Beechworth, Victoria, Australia cheli... police occured.

We then spent a few hours at Beechworth, an historic little town which still has an operating telegraph station. We went on a scenic drive along the gorge (which was quite narrow with our big bus!)

After we headed down to the town of Bright and then into Mount Beauty, stopping at the overlooks of the town.

Wanganderry, Victoria, Australia macphails... best be gotten rid of, to which I received the response of 'no, I quite like the ghosts' from the lady, while her kids were much less comfortable with them, and I had a great discussion with the kids about Jesus and how He could protect them from the ghosts, and they delighted in telling me all about how they had learnt that Jesus died and then came back from the dead in their school scripture classes (probably a hot topic, with Easter fast approaching.) In the end, we all ...
Wodonga, Victoria, Australia wayfaring... a little town called Gembrook, home of the famous Puffing Billy steam train, where we hope on a return visit in the next couple of weeks we will take the kid's for a ride. We managed to stay overnight at a Reserve called Kurth Kiln in the Bunyip State Forest, a great spot set amongst mountain ash. There was some good history as well and a great little cold, very cold stream for the kid's to play. That's all for this blog, next stop, The Mornington Peninsula. Bye for now.
Glenrowan, Victoria, Australia serenitynow... are nocturnal. As a result they flatly refused to entertain us during our journey. Mind you, it was so hot that you can completely understand them and wonder how anybody else finds the energy to even move during the day. Considering that this is only spring, I feel for the poor human and animals that will have to go through the summer... We stopped on our way at Glenrowan, which has been Ned Kelly's ...
Melbourne, Australia sandrine810... huge kick out of the Koala Crossing signs and by the time we got to where we were going, my neck was sore from craning out the window. I think they are nocturnal because I didn't see any. Our first stop on the way to Rutherglen (our destination) was Glen Rowan, where Ned Kelly had his last stand. Ned Kelly is a famous Australian criminal and known worldwide for being one of the first criminals to wear armor. The town is a tourist haven for Ned Kelly souveniers ...
