The weekend before that I made a quick trip up to my home land, Scotland, to meet some family from my Mum's side who lived in Glasgow. I satyed at my grans twin-sisters daughters house, and it was just like going home for the weekend!! Janet was a complete replica of my own mother... and by the end of my stay there i came to accept her as my Glasgow Mother... I already miss her to bits! Same can be said to all my cousins that I met there ...
We are sitting with a huge pile of travel guides, maps, notebooks, post it notes and general accumulated info in front of us wondering where to start!
The itinery is almost sorted out in terms of countries and cities. We've got the MASTA health brief and the FCO no go areas. We think we've got Visa requirments in hand and the boring (but necessary ...

I was really excited to be going back to Wigan after so many years, as my brother Jack played football in Wigan and Blackpool (& St Helens?) and I remember vividly coming up to watch him play. He lived only a couple of streets away from the stadium on the west side, but this area is full of huge shopping centres now, so I doubt his street even exists anymore.
I found it really exciting to just be at ...
... Aunts house reciting my mission of being quiet under my breath. Of course, being in the drunken state that i was in (zoes fault...) I forgot to lock the door, had a 15 minute conversation with Jeffrey the Cat (I wouldnt know if he bit me again or not), tip toed up the stairs, hushed a creaking floor-board quiet, and went to sleep- probably immediately?? I woke up the next DAY around 11:30pm, right in time for lunch.. haha and then stayed at my Aunts for ...
Lancaster, England, United Kingdom katie.pitt... leading us to setting up the game on the floor. This was also a rather funny endeavor and led to a new rule of if you can bounce it off the legs of the person on the opposite side and get it into a cup it counts as double the cups.
Ah now for the main event, the College Black Tie Social. This is a yearly event a venue on the Irish sea that more or less looks like it is straight out of the movie the wedding singer. This event also involves a formal dinner (that even ...
Tow truck 2, turns up at 15:29 and we are off again for the next leg of the journey, Stirling Services to Lancaster Services. This journey takes around 4 hours and I have a nice chat with the driver, Jim all the way. We phone ahead and arrange the next tow truck to meet us at Lancaster at 19:15, guess what? Yes, it wasn't there and I am told it won't be there until 20:15 and it finally arrives at 20:30
Lancaster, England, United Kingdom peterward... of what certain governments have whipped up to try and instil fear of this “new” risk as a justification for invading other countries.
When the rain set in we took cover in the Manchester Art Gallery for the last hour it was open, and I could have stayed there much longer. The kids section was great fun, and a temporary exhibit highlighting real stories of the fast declining standard of life in Zimbabwe under the rule of ...
John took me to Blackpool. He may have wanted to show me a UK beach resort. The street along the beach was full of decorations. I took a picture of his profile in the car. It was just a memory of Blackpool. We were on the way from Preston, where we met his old friend, and John talked about the word "love", because people there used "love" meaning "you" very often, when they talk to someone, like "Good morning, love!". That sounded awkward to him.
