... 8217;t much there. So it was on then to Busselton for sunset. Busselton is famous for having the world longest wooden jetty. Looks good but its in **** and they are renovating it. You can still walk along part of it and there is great sea life to be seen from it. Plenty of Crab and rays. First night kipping in the van too looking out over the Indian ocean.
... you're in the middle of wine mecca! Their daughter, Carrie and her friend drove in from Perth just in time to join us all for dinner. It was a lovely social evening! Saturday morning began with a hearty cooked breakfast enjoyed in the company of other guests Sue and Terry from Fremantle. Our itinerary had us heading south to Augusta for a whale watching tour and a visit to Cape Leeuwin and the ...
Margaret River, Australia ricknelsieDenise you are missing! Oh man Busselton... I probably shouldn't have stopped here. It brought back a lot of memories and I turned all melancholic. But we had great fun playing with the seagals... you gotta watch the video it's hilarious!
Busselton, Australia silberregen... being located in Southend on Sea, UK! We also went to the underwater observatory located at the end of the jetty, it was excellent to see the clear waters and lots of fish life and the odd diver in the distance, without even getting wet! The bird life was alos thriving in Bussleton - rather than good old pigeons in the trees there were hundreds of cockatoo's!!
Busselton, Australia jimandmargarida... t". The tour was fun, in a beautiful rural setting with some very funny people, mind you I could have completely made that up as we didnt have lunch until after the 12th glass of wine so what we cant remember we'll just make up. It wasn't long before there was talk of visiting a local cheesery (a made up word but I like it) and then just as we thought we had reached the pinnacle of all nirvana we went to a chocolate tasting factory, yes the CH diet is truely adhered to here ...
Margaret River, Australia jen_and_chris... where Si will be moving to in a few week's time, as he completes his "country posting" for the Western Australian (W.A.) Police, a mandatory 2 year stint outside the city.
"Busso" is supposed to be a very chill town in the 'Margaret River' area a few hours south of Perth. Margaret River is renown for ...
... much I can say (or remember) about our wine tasting day, except that abundant amounts of free wine was consumed by all. It's amazing how inebriated one can get from those little glasses of wine. Mind you, we did go to 5 different wineries as well as a brewery and tried all types of whites, rosés, reds and even port. The wineries themselves were quite beautiful. Rolling hills covered with luscious, grape-filled vines surrounding exquisite buildings that house the ...
Margaret River, Australia melash... ensued as soon as we reached it. The next two days were absolutely gorgeous though - Margaret River is comprised of lots of sweeping valleys filled with vineyards, native jarrah and karri tree forests, limestone caves, and loads of beaches. The Indian Ocean coast was just a ten minute drive from our B&B, where we went one night to sit on the beach and watch the sunset. Margaret river itself feeds into the Indian Ocean at ...
Margaret River, Australia chansaSunny and blue skies when I looked out the camper window at 7.10, but then clouded over and sudden shower while I was in having mine. We had a leisurely breakfast and left the campground shortly after 9 am. After finally finding the way back onto the highway, started off towards Bunbury. On the way we stopped at Yandalup NP for a very nice walk and then for lunch. There was a very short shower just as we started, but soon cleaned up and was sunny with cloudy periods ...
