... d ended up at Gloucester Tree. Not long after that we were joined by a tourist who had just made his way back down the tree, and was telling us all that he got a huge shock when he looked down and saw two uniformed police officers, one in full kit, climbing up the tree after him! He sent photos to his friends, saying "I thought they'd never find me up here!". It was a great chat, and a few great laughs, with the officer we were standing with yelling things up ...
... of "free sample" chocolate drops (white, milk and dark) buttons, that we gorged ourselves on! After spending a small fortune there (actually, we thought we were pretty restrained, only $50), we headed south through the Margaret River winery areas onto Caves Road, and stopped at Lake Cave.
There are 4 really good caves in this area - Lake, Mammoth, Jewel and ....another one whose name escapes me! Jewel is the biggest, Mammoth is ...
... en de blauwe oceaan stak strak af tegen de blauwe lucht. We zagen zelfs twee walvissen hoog uit het water komen en splashen.
Koffie in Bunkerbay was ook een aanrader. Dit hele gebied is bijzonder en erg mooi het ligt in een enorme baai.
De namiddag werd er van een strandwandeling genoten en s'avonds zijn we weer naar de jetty gegaan. Morgen gaat de reis verder richting zuiden.

... to take the day before, then cut over midway to Caves Road and visit a couple of wineries before ending the day at Cape Naturaliste.
We drove out on the main highway, which was what we expected; boring. However, we knew caves road was awesome so we didn't sweat it, and before we knew it we had reached the side road anyway.

The displays are a real credit to their love of things old. Really pleased it was all under cover with the rain. My Aunt Cynthia suggested it would be worth a stop after seeing it promoted on Sunrise. It was fantastic display & really pleased we made the stop. Stayed in Bunbury for the ...
