... The biggest tourist attraction is the Busselton jetty. At 1.8 km long it is the longest timber piled jetty in the world. We walked part of the way along the jetty and visited the little museum and interpretive centre. A small train runs to the end and there is an underwater observatory which descends 26 ft to the ocean floor via a spiral staircase. This is one location that I would like to return ...

... gorgeous! It had a fantastic playground
for the kids, shady trees, lawn and toilet block perched high above the beach,
then steps down to the beautiful beach.
The beach was pristine, and had a wide shallow lagoon (perfect for
snorkelling), sheltered from large surf waves by a wide coral shelf. The water was freezing cold, but so crystal
clear, it was so tempting! We had all been
dressed in our bathers all morning, in ...

... Aussie Bush Flies over winter any day. Please be safe and warm.

Doug and I are off to Indonesia next. We’ll be traveling through Bali and Lombok over the Christmas holidays. I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to communicate via internet, so I’d like to extend my holiday greetings at this time:
