We arrived in Udaipur by bus as this was the only way to get from Jodhpur. We ended up on a 'sleeper' which instead of being a double decker as we were led to believe, was more like we were in the luggage racks. it was extremly bumpy and the driver blew his horn every two minutes, so we didn't get much 'sleep' during the 7 hours it took. Dear Readers: What a great day this has been. We left our hotel in Jodhpur without any scenes or drama, and commenced a full day bus ride to Udaipur. Along the way we stopped at a Jain temple, the largest in India. This was made out of very spectacularly carved marble, but it just didn't do anything for me. I think I was tired and "templed out."...

A 4am start, and a sad moment leaving the good people of Sisodra that I had come to meet. It was real heartwarming to see some of the neighbours wake-up at this time to wish me farewell.
