This place is huge, like Harbour Town in concept, but single storey and open to the elements. Over 200 outlets of every concievable brand imaginable. Its Thanksgiving Sale time. The place is full, chokkers, open to the elements, and in some shops customers have to queue to get in. UGG Australia has the longest line. Why? Did I mention this place is open to the elements. ...
Neversink Reservoir after the Deluge
... I forget what kind now - but it got away. He also reminisced about several record-size fish he had caught in this reservoir and showed me the places.
There is probably something major I am missing, but it is after 11:30 and I am feeling tired since I got up before the crack of dawn this morning. It was just barely getting light when I started off. But I am so glad I did since it was an excellent day for paddling and we even had some fall color!

FDR and the Vanderbilts.
... the Roosevelt property is the Vanderbilt Mansion. The home, used only for a few weeks in the Spring & Fall, belonged to Frederick William Vanderbilt; grandson of the Commodore. Built in a grand scale with classical ornamentation, it is completely different from the home of the Roosevelt's. It too, is owned by the National Park service and tours are given several times a day.

Olympics day 1
During the day, we had a swim-athlon. So I had to lifeguard. It was quite fun as when we weren't life guarding we helped out sorting out races. Then in the evening as evening activity we had an opening ceremony. I was in a dance in it so during the afternoon we practiced. The ceremony was amazing! It started with 2 people singing on the stage. It was outside so was dark, and they had big flood lights lighting up the floor where the dance was ...
