Today was G's first day of work so we left about 8 to head to the office. We went a completely different way today (thanks Sally the Satnav) and didn't even get lost! We also managed to avoid all the freeways which was nice - they can be stressful in peak hour!
B headed back home afterwards and spent some time online organising things for Uni. We lost power for a while but it was light enough in the room to still be able to see, so this wasn't ...
... other for several months. It felt like you were staying in their house, you were the outsider. I spoke with a Spanish guy, the only person there older than me, and he seemed to keep himself to himself, sitting in the upstairs landing watching films on this laptop. He was in his 30s I'd say.
Thank God for my 2 saviours, Hafiza, a school friend of mine and her husband Ziggy. They rescued me!! We went for dinner in TGIs and after a great chat for hours whilst out and then back ...
... it only sank in after in passed through customs that I was in the move. The last few weeks have been so focused on finishing my work off before I left that I barely registered that I was leaving. It was only as I dressed ready to leave that it tall began to sink in.

... it's not so bad. I feel cheated. I wanted it to be freezing because that's what I imagined it to be like. What a let down! I wait at the airport for a taxi, and the taxi driver is Curry. The same stereotype exists here! It turns out he is Sri Lankan and moved to Switzerland 17 years ago. He has 2 kids, and both can speak Tamil, as well as German, English and French. He explained that Zürich speaks German, and Geneva speaks French. And south of Switzerland speaks ...
First day on the new job. Trained in the morning, well I say trained but actually the Irish lady arrived half an hour late complaining how hungover she was and drunk she got last night.
